Church of Santa Caterina

On the ruins of the fortress of  was built to Braccio the convent complex Benedictine of St. Catherine. The church attached to the convent, is small, with a single nave topped by a barrel vault. It has three altars and above the entrance gates there was a choir for the organ. To the left of the entrance there is a trap door in stone through a ladder that reaches the cells burial. A basement with times, capitals and vaults lowered, suggesting that the oldest part of the complex belonged to the Fortress of Braccio. There were many artists who have created works for Braccio: Fioravante Fioravanti, architect for the design of the fortress, Antonio Alberti, Ferrarese painter to decorate the homes of Braccio and many more. Of the Fortress, which was destroyed in 1478 at the behest of the then Pope Sixtus IV, it retains the image of the banner that Bartolomeo Caporali painted in 1482 for the Church of St. Francis, and which is now preserved in the art gallery next to the church. To the right of the church is the Memorial Park, with the war memorial in bronze and the remains of the fortress of Braccio.
